Mobile Police Department to Hold Annual Memorial Service

The annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Public Safety Park at the corner of Government and Westwood Streets in Mobile. The purpose of the event is to recognize and remember retired officers who died in 2013 as well as Law Enforcement and Coast Guard personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Honor guards from the Mobile Police Department, Mobile County Sheriff's Office and the Saraland Police Department will be present and a 21-Gun Salute and Taps will also be performed.

The event is sponsored by the Mobile Police Department and Mobile County Sheriff's Office Chaplain's Office. The public is invited to attend. All inquiries should be directed to Dr. Jerry Brown, Mobile Police Chaplain at (251) 208-1930.
