Mobile Police Explorers to Hold Annual Awards Banquet

On Saturday, December 10, 2011, the Mobile Police Explorers will hold their annual Police Explorers Awards Banquet from 3:00 — 7:00 p.m. at S.D. Bishop State Community College - Baker Gaines Central Campus located at 1365 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. The National Law Enforcement Exploring Program provides young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competition, service and practical experiences.

Awards to be presented are as follows:

Tenure Award: Awarded to each Explorer who has served one year or more.

Law Enforcement Training Award: Recognizes each Explorer with 60 hours of Training or more.

Community Service Award: Recognizes each Explorer who has served in the community with 100 hours or more.

Emergency Preparedness: Certifies the explorer that has received advanced training in First Aid and CPR.

Explorer of the Year Award: Acknowledges an explorer who has excelled in all categories and has exceeded beyond all expectations.
