Mobile Police Host Annual Police Explorers Awards Banquet

Mobile Police Department will host their Annual Police Explorers Awards Banquet at 5:30 pm at the Dumas Wesley Community Center located at 126 Mobile Street in the Creighton Area. The National Law Enforcement Exploring Program provides youth between the ages of 11-20 years old who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competitions, service and practical experiences.

List of awards to be presented:
Mobile Gas Company Special Award
Ms. Jenney Williams and Mr. LaBarron McClendon of the Mobile Gas Company will present a $2000.00 check to the Mobile Police Explorer Program to help the program to continue to help our youth.

Tenure Award — given to each Explorer who has served one (1) year or more.
Law Enforcement Training Award — recognizes each Explorer with 60 hours of Training or more
Community Service Award — recognizes each Explorer who has served in the community with 100 hours or moreā€¦ (Senior Bowl, Mardi Gras, Christmas Tree Recycling, Waterfront Rescue Mission, etc.)
Emergency Preparedness — certifies the explorer that has received advanced training in First Aid and CPR
National Law Enforcement Conference (Ft. Collins, Colorado) — recognizes each explorer who attended this conference
National Law Enforcement Explorer Academy (Birmingham, AL) — recognizes each explorer who attended this academy
Fire Arms Training — recognizes the explorer who has completed eight (8) hrs. of certified range training at the Metro Firearms Facility under the range master.
Explorer of the Year Award — Acknowledges an explorer who has excelled in all categories and has exceeded beyond all expectations.
