Mobile Police Host Annual Police Explorers Awards Banquet

On December 18, 2010, Mobile Police Department will host their Annual Police Explorers Awards Banquet. The National Law Enforcement Exploring Program provides young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competitions, service and practical experiences.
List of awards to be presented:
Tenure Award — given to each Explorer who has served one (1) year or more.
Law Enforcement Training Award — recognizes each Explorer with 60 hours of Training or more
Community Service Award — recognizes each Explorer who has served in the community with 100 hours or moreā¦ (Senior Bowl, Mardi Gras, Christmas Tree Recycling, Waterfront Rescue Mission, etc.)
Emergency Preparedness — certifies the explorer that has received advanced training in First Aid and CPR
National Law Enforcement Conference (Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA) — recognizes each explorer who attended this conference
Fire Arms Training — recognizes the explorer who has completed eight (8) hrs. of certified range training at the Metro Firearms Facility under the range master.
Explorer of the Year Award — Acknowledges an explorer who has excelled in all categories and has exceeded beyond all expectations.
