Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Crenshaw Street

On February 21, 2011 at 11:17 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a shooting and a male down in the 400 block of Crenshaw Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his chest. Mobile Fire Department responded and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal that the victim, who has not been identified yet, may have been in an altercation with a black male when the shot was fired. The suspect may have left the scene in a white truck.
