Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Franklin Street

On March 22, 2013, at 2:17 a.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street for a disorderly complaint. Upon arrival, officers found 37 year old John King Jr. unresponsive on the floor. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and King was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal that during a physical altercation, King became unresponsive and died. Detectives have determined that a second male was on the scene but left prior to arrival of officers. Detectives are attempting to locate 25 year old Antonio Turner because they believe he may have information about the incident.
