Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Old Military Road

On September 15, 2010 at 5:00 a.m. Mobile Police responded to 7100 block of Old Military Road in Theodore for a report of a man stuck by a vehicle. Upon the officer's arrival, they discovered 32 year old Evan Brand had been struck by a vehicle, and was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center with what was considered non life threatening injuries.

Detectives began the investigation, and determined that 36 year old Shonda Todd struck him twice with her vehicle during an altercation. Shonda Todd was arrested on the scene and charged with Assault Second Degree.

Police were notified at approximately 4:00 p.m. today that Evan Brand had died at the hospital from his injuries.
