Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Tanner Road

On October 28, 2012 at 3:00 a.m. Mobile Police Officers working security at Club Casino on Tanner Road requested assistance from other officers and Mobile Fire Rescue after an altercation occurred in the business. The officers had located 29 year old Raymond Boykin unconscious inside the bar, and he was transported to Providence Hospital where he later died from a head injury.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal that an altercation occurred in the business between two females and Mr. Boykin had helped to separate the people involved. After the females had been separated, 31 year old Jeremy McDaniels struck Mr. Boykin with his fist causing the injuries.
