Mobile Police Investigate a Traffic Fatality

On December 27, 2012 at 3:56 a.m. Mobile Police responded to the 300 block of Azalea Road for a report of a single vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that struck a palm tree. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and the male driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators have determined that a male driver was traveling north on Azalea Road when it appears he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck the tree. Detectives believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
