Mobile Police Investigate a Traffic Fatality

On December 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Mobile Police responded to Government and Dearborn Streets for a report of a male struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male lying in the roadway, and had he been struck by a small truck. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators have determined that the driver of the vehicle was turning east onto Government Street from Dearborn Street when he struck the man in the roadway.

Traffic Homicide Detectives will continue to investigate the incident. If anyone has information, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.
