Mobile Police Investigate a Traffic Fatality

On March 14, 2013 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Mobile Police received a report of a two vehicle crash on southbound I-65 at Government Street. After the wreck, a male driver involved in the crash was attempting to cross the interstate to check the welfare of the second driver when a vehicle traveling southbound on I-65 struck the man crossing the interstate. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The deceased male has been identified as 75 year-old Buster Brown Streetman from Chickasaw. No charges are expected in this incident.
