On July 11, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. officers responded to a crash involving a single vehicle on west bound I-10 near the I-65 overpass. A white 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 24 year old Zy Tri Tran lost control of his vehicle and struck the guard rail and a bridge support pillar on the interstate. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and Tran was pronounced dead on the scene.
