Mobile Police Investigate Homicide

On March 18, 2014, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Mobile Police responded to Providence Hospital to investigate an incident involving an injured child. The child, 23 month-old Christian Henderson, later died from his injuries. The father of the child, 24 year-old John Henderson, reported to police and medical staff that the child had fallen from a highchair.

An autopsy revealed the child died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen and the cause of death was ruled Homicide.

On March 19, 2014, John Henderson was taken into custody and charged with Murder for the death of Christian Henderson.
