Mobile Police Investigate Homicide In The 3100 Block of Cedar Wood Dr S

On Friday, September 11, 2015, at approximately 4:38 p.m. officers responded to the 3100 block of Cedar Wood Dr S for a report of One Cut. As officers were responding to the location they received a second call stating the victim was being transported to a local hospital by a personally owned vehicle. The driver of the vehicle flagged down Mobile Fire Rescue in the area of Rangeline Road at Hamilton Blvd where the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim was later pronounced deceased.

Through investigation Homicide Detective learned 52 year old David Devaney was in a physical altercation with a family member when he was cut. The facts of this case were presented to the District Attorney's Office and this case will be presented to a Grand Jury.
