Mobile Police Investigate Homicide on Duval Street (update)

On May 9, 2012 at approximately 4:50 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 1200 block of Duval Street. Upon arrival, officers found 33 year-old Jimmie Fore with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to the University of South Alabama Medical Center.

On May 11, 2012 Mobile Police was notified that Mr. Fore had died from his injuries at the hospital.

Through the investigation detectives have determined that 20 year-old Donnie Matthews, during a dispute with the victim, produced a handgun and fired several shots at the victim. Donnie Matthews has been arrested and charged with Murder.
