On December 14, 2013, at approximately 8:25 p.m., Mobile Police responded to southbound Interstate 65, approximately one-tenth of a mile south of Government Boulevard, for a report of a single vehicle crash. Police discovered 29 year-old Thomas Allen Butler of Mobile had been ejected from the vehicle when it overturned. Mobile Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Butler to University of South Alabama Medical Center where he died.
