Mobile Police Investigate Traffic Fatality

On January 8, 2014, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers responded to a crash on Schillinger Road near Airport Boulevard. The investigation revealed a 59 year-old male was traveling northbound on Schillinger Road when his pickup truck left the roadway and struck three vehicles in the parking lot of Wendy's. One vehicle was occupied by 66 year-old Martha Wingo Hinton of Loxley. Hinton was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing as to why the pickup truck left the roadway. Anyone with information is asked to call (251) 208-7211.
