MOBILE POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY ON HIGHWAY 90

On June 29, 2009 at approximately 9:00 P.M., Mobile Police responded to a report of one struck by a vehicle. The vehicle, which was operated by Mr. Farshid Stephan Davis, was eastbound on US HWY 90, at Coca-Cola Road, when it struck and killed an unidentified adult W/F pedestrian. Mr. Davis was determined to be driving while under the influence of alcoholic beverage and was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI. The Mobile County District Attorney's Office was notified and advised that the case will be reviewed in its entirety to determine whether the Driving Under the Influence charge will be amended.
