Mobile Police Make Arrests in Burglaries of Schools, Church

On December 24, 2011, Mobile Police responded to Collier Elementary School in reference to security having subjects detained for a possible commercial burglary. Officers detained two suspects as they attempted to exit the location. A large amount of stolen goods were recovered from one suspect's vehicle and residence.

Further investigation has revealed at least three subjects are involved in seven burglaries to area schools and one church. Detectives recovered $10,750 of property stolen from the following locations:

Collier Elementary located at 601 Snow Road
Dickson Elementary located at 4645 Bit & Spur Road
Faith Academy located at 8650 Tanner Williams Road (two burglaries)
Griggs Elementary located at 6001 Three Notch Road
Knollwood Assembly of God located at 1501 Knollwood Drive
Westlawn Elementary located at 3071 Ralston Road
