Mobile Police Make Arrests on Target Purse Snatching

On Saturday, June 21, 2014, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Mobile Police responded to Target at 790 Schillinger Road for a report of a robbery to an individual. Investigation revealed the female victim was in the parking lot putting groceries in her vehicle when an unknown male subject approached her, grabbed her purse from her basket. The victim sustained injuries during the robbery. The subject got into the front passenger seat of a vehicle driven by an unknown female after taking the purse.

On Friday, June 27, 2014, Mobile Police located and arrested 24 year-old Daniel Powell and 26 year-old Shannon Laurio in relation to this case. Powell and Laurio are both charged with Robbery Second Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Narcotics) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
