Mobile Police Make Burglary Arrest

On January 13, 2014 at 8:10 p.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Edgewood Street for a report of a Burglary First Degree. The female victim, who sells candy to area residents, stated a known male came to her door and asked for candy. The victim reached for the merchandise and, as she turned around, she saw the suspect enter her home armed with a knife. She pushed the suspect back and tripped him with her foot. The suspect fell on the front porch and fled the scene on foot.
Through the course of the investigation, 20 year-old Akeem Miller was identified as the suspect in the case. On January 21, 2014, Miller was apprehended on Nall Street. He was arrested for Burglary First Degree.
This case is cleared with the arrest of Miller. Anyone with information is asked to call Mobile Police at (251) 208-7211.
