On Thursday, September 29, 2016, at approximately 9:13 p.m. officers responded to the 2400 block of Rothfield Place for a report of One Shot. Officers located a 26-year-old male victim inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
On Friday, September 30, 2016, Mobile Homicide Detectives interviewed Deon Johnson, 23, and following the interviewed Johnson was arrested and charged with Murder.
