Mobile Police Make Second Arrest on Bank Robbery

On Monday, March 18, 2013, at approximately 1:05 p.m., an unknown white male entered the Century Bank located at 5370 Government Street and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied and the subject left with a male companion on foot, headed west.

The male who robbed the bank is described as white, 5' 5", in his 30s with receding hair. He was accompanied by a younger white male, approximately 5' 3" wearing a plaid shirt and yellow backpack with black trim.

Later that day, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an observant officer located the younger male on Canal and Claiborne Streets. Justin Gorniak, 36 years-old, was taken into custody and identified as the accomplice in this robbery. He was arrested and charged with Robbery Third Degree.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers were able to locate 38 year-old Timothy Herrington off Highway 90. Herrington was determined to be the second robbery suspect in this case. He was arrested for Robbery Third Degree.
