Mobile Police Makes Arrest in the Tillmans Park Apartments Homicide

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at approximately 12:57 a.m. officers responded to Tillman's Park Apartments located at 4700 Calhoun Road for a report of One Shot. Officers located 19 year old Tavaris Pettway down inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and transported Pettway to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed Pettway was involved in a domestic dispute with the suspect, 29 year Coriyon Kenny, when he was shot in the face. On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, Kenny surrendered to Mobile County Metro Jail where he was charged with Murder
