Mobile Police Name Second Suspect, Arrest Third in Winn Dixie Robbery, Shooting Involving Officer Chad Wynne

On March 6, 2012, Mobile Police identified the injured suspect from Friday night's shooting at Winn Dixie on Government and Catherine Streets as 21 year-old Ronald Crear (DOB: 02/26/1991). Crear remains at U. S. A. Medical Center where he is being treated for a gunshot wound he received during the robbery. Upon his release, he will be charged with five counts of Attempt Murder and one count of Robbery First Degree.

Also on this date, Mobile Police arrested 18 year-old Collier Kirksey (DOB: 07/17/1993), who has been identified as the third suspect in this robbery. Kirksey, an employee of Winn Dixie, is believed to have planned the robbery and has been charged with five counts of Attempt Murder and one count of Robbery First Degree.

On March 2, 2012 at 11:02 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress at the Winn Dixie located at 1550 Government Street. Officer Chad Wynne, after entering the building, was shot and additional responding officers returned fire striking Crear. Jackieth Harrison, 18 years-old, was taken into custody on the scene and charged with five counts of Attempt Murder and Robbery First Degree.
