Mobile Police Support Toys for Tots’ 2014 Campaign

Oct 22nd, 2014

Each year, the Mobile Police Department supports the Toys for Tots annual campaign by collecting and distributing toys to children in the Mobile area. Local agencies with similar missions are also supported by applying for toys for local children who receive their services.

This year, Toys for Tots, The Salvation Army and WKRG are all partnering in an effort to streamline the application process in order to insure needs are met and to reduce the number of duplicated efforts.

The Department, in conjunction with the United States Marines, will handle the application process for those interested in requesting toys for single families. If you believe your single family qualifies for donation, please contact Lieutenant Kay Taylor or Officer Gary Owens at (251) 208-1935 for more information.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
