Mobile Police to Swear in New Officers

October 13, marks the end of 14 weeks of rigorous training, testing and the beginning of a new career for eight Mobile Police and three regional officers. The graduation of the Mobile Police Academy Class #44 will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 2010 at Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Road. FBI Special Agent in Charge Timothy Furhman will serve as the keynote speaker.

As the Regional Training Facility, The Mobile Police Academy also trains and certifies officers from other agencies who are seeking to meet the Alabama Peace Officers Standards of Training Commission (APOSTC) requirements. Three such officers will also participate in the graduation ceremonies.
