Moving Up in the Ranks

The Mobile Police Department holds a promotion ceremony Friday, March 3 to honor eight police officers who are moving up in the ranks and into new positions. The ceremony begins 1 p.m. at Government Plaza Multipurpose Room, 205 Government St. Doors open to guests at 12:30 p.m.

Captain being promoted to the rank of major:

• Baroneise Dixon

Lieutenants being promoted to the rank of captain:

• Douglas Parmenter
• Kevin Rodgers

Sergeant being promoted to the rank of lieutenant:

• Jeffrey Hilburn

Corporals being promoted to the rank of sergeant:

• Jimmy Bailey
• Kent Quinnie

Officers being promoted to the rank of corporal:

• Brandon Orso
• Terence Perkins
