During the month of June, the Mobile Police Department will hold a Community Meeting in each of its four precinct areas. Because making the city of Mobile safer takes effort from the entire community, Chief Battiste wants to provide a platform for community members and police to exchange information, identify the root cause of the problems, and begin developing solutions to those problems together. It is also an opportunity for police and community members to get to know one another better.
The meetings will be community-focused with real dialogue. There will be open discussion about specific neighborhood issues. Chief Battiste will present information on the Mobile Police Department’s recent achievements in combating crime. And, members will learn about the value of Project Shield partnerships and the benefits of joining Nextdoor.
