On Monday, September 6, 2021, at approximately 8:34 p.m., police officers responded to the 1800 block of Allison Street in reference to one shot. Upon arrival, officers located 16-year-old juvenile Chavan Scruggs, lying in the road. The juvenile male victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Update:
The Mobile Police Department reports that a 15-year-old juvenile has been charged and arrested with Murder and Robbery first-degree concerning the homicide.
