NARCOTICS AND VICE UNIT ARREST FIVE ON GAMBLING DEVICE

The Narcotics and Vice Unit conducted a two month investigation into illegal gaming machines. Several weeks prior the Narcotics and Vice Unit were provided information about illegal gaming devices in numerous locations within the City of Mobile. Since that time investigators have been working to obtain as many search warrants for these establishments as possible.

From November 08, 2008 thru December 16, 2008, the Narcotics and Vice Unit seized seventy-nine (79) gambling machines, fourteen (14) coin pushers, over fifty thousand dollars in U.S. Currency, three vehicles and made five arrests.

William Broadus III, Linda Pierce, John Pope and James Reeves were arrested for Possession of a Gambling Device and Promoting Gambling.

Sherry Pope was arrested for Possession of a Gambling Device and warrants have been signed on David Kearney for Possession of a Gambling Device and Promoting Gambling.
