The Mobile Police Department has been made aware of a scam where someone is spoofing our phone numbers to contact residents in hopes of getting them to make payments over the phone.
DO NOT fall for this latest scam. Several citizens have already been scammed out of money. The phone number may look like an official MPD number, when in reality it's not.
Please help us share this message before the next victim is targeted.
