Whataburger is hosting an “Oh Whata Night” event to honor Mobile’s fallen Officer Sean Tuder with all three Mobile restaurant locations participating. The fundraiser is set for Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The franchise owner says 20 percent of the proceeds from the three restaurants during that time frame will be donated to the Tuder family.
It’s the first time the local Whataburger will host a fundraiser of this magnitude to include a meet and greet with police officers. The community can meet the officers at the Whataburger on Schillinger Road and Cottage Hill Road. On-site will be the Mounted Unit, K-9 Unit, Traffic Safety Motors, the SWAT Unit BearCat and McGruff the Crime Dog. A rock wall for children will be provided by Officer Tuder's National Guard Unit.
