Operation Winter Storm Targets Drug Dealers

In Operation Winter Storm, the Mobile Police Department’s mission was set to eliminate the drug trade in and around the Campgrounds and Bottoms communities, and to arrest those individuals facilitating drugs being brought into the Mobile area. After receiving numerous complaints of drug activity, the police department took action to identify the drug dealers and the drug houses. During the six-month-long investigation, the targeted drug dealers were identified.

On Friday, January 12, 2018 at approximately 10 a.m. search warrants were executed at six locations, which include 1325 Basil Street, 1325 Camp Street Apartment, 253 Cuba Street Apartment-F, 1309 ½ Adams Street, 609 Live Oak Street, and 1301 St. Madar Street.

Officers arrested 11 individuals during the warrant roundup, of which three were targets of the operation. The individuals were arrested on 16 felony charges and 17 misdemeanor charges.
