Police Arrest a Homicide Suspect

On January 2, 2010, at 9:07 PM Mobile Police responded to Roger Williams located 1556 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for a report of one shot. Upon the officers arrival they discovered 28 year old David Antowne Boykin with a gunshot wound to his chest. Boykin was transported to USA Medical Center by Mobile Fire Department where he later died.

Mobile Police Department Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. During the investigation, detectives were able to identify 27 year old Tyrone Orange as a suspect. Orange then turned himself into police. Tyrone Orange has been arrested and charged with Murder. Detectives will continue to investigate this case, and more information will be released as it become available.
