Police Investigate a Homicide on Driftwood Drive North

On October 28, 2010 at 9:48 p.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Driftwood Drive North and Charmaine Circle. Upon their arrival, officers found a man lying in a driveway in the 1300 block of Driftwood Drive North with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center, and later died from his injuries.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal the deceased man has been identified as 19 year old Marcus Steele. Detectives believe that Marcus Steele was shot while he was committing a burglary.
