POLICE INVESTIGATE A HOMICIDE ON SALVIA STREET (UPDATE)

On June 8, 2009 at approximately 5:00 PM police received a call for shots fired at the 700 block of Salvia Street East. Upon officers arrival they discovered a male with an apparent gunshot wound and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded to the scene, and identified the victim as twenty —four year old Steven Henderson of Mobile.

Mobile Police have identified suspect Michael Anthony Owens (25) as the suspect involved in the shooting death of Steven Henderson. Michael Owens has an active warrant for Murder and also an active warrant for Attempted Murder for an isolated incident that occurred in Prichard Police Department's jurisdiction.
