Police Investigate a Homicide on Wexford Street

On February 04, 2010 at 12:30 am Mobile Police Officers were flagged down by a female in the 1600 block of Wexford Street in reference to shots being fired and her husband (45) year old Alan Sylvester had possibly been shot at the residence. After further investigation, Officers discovered Mr. Sylvester deceased, lying outside on the side of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. The motive and the victim's reason for being at the residence are still under investigation.

Police have made all of the necessary notifications to the deceased family. The investigation on this case will continue and if anyone has information about this incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211 or Crime Stoppers at 208-7000.
