Police Investigate a Traffic Homicide on Interstate 10

On May 12, 2010 at 10:20 PM Mobile Police responded for a man struck by a vehicle on Interstate 10 at the Interstate 65 interchange. Witnesses told police that a black male was walking in the far left lane of east bound Interstate 10, and was struck by a mid size black car possibly a Ford Mustang. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle then left the scene without waiting for police or leaving any information.

Police are asking for the help of the public in identifying the victim and the driver of the vehicle. The victim is described as a black male in his late teens or early twenties. The vehicle is possibly a late model Ford Mustang, and should have front end damage. If anyone is reporting a missing person fitting that description, or believes they can identify the vehicle, please call the Mobile Police Department.
