POLICE INVESTIGATE TWO BANK ROBBERIES

On May 1, 2009 at approximately 11:00 AM Mobile Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Bay Bank located 6140 Airport Boulevard. Upon arrivals officers spoke with the victim who stated an unknown white male entered the bank, indicated he was armed with a gun, and demanded money from the business. The suspect was unable to leave with money. On the same day at approximately 11:45 AM, the same white male entered the Bancorp South Bank located 3952 A Airport Boulevard and indicated to the teller he was armed with a gun, and demands money. He left with an undisclosed amount of money from the location. The subject was last seen running north on McGregor Avenue.

Mobile Police Robbery Unit detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. No injuries were reported from either robbery.
