POLICE MAKE MULTIPLE VEHICLE BURGLARY ARRESTS

On March 23, 2009 at approximately 5:20 P.M. officers from the Mobile Police Department responded to Southern Fitness Gym located at 4725-G Moffett Road in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle occupied by two black male subjects attempting to break into a vehicle at the location. The suspects' vehicle, described as a blue Ford Explorer, had been a vehicle of interest in reference to numerous reports of vehicular burglaries that had been reported to police on previous dates.
Upon arrival, police stopped the suspicious vehicle and were able to detain two subjects identified as Lester Love and Jarred Easley. The detainment of these two suspects revealed their involvement, as well as several other individuals, in multiple vehicular burglaries located throughout Mobile.
Investigators from the Mobile Police Department Fourth Precinct strenuously worked and were able to link Love and Easley to a ring of vehicular burglary incidents and other involved suspects. The majority of these incidents have occurred at various gyms located throughout West Mobile including Sports Plex Gym located at 6363 Piccadilly Square Drive, Planet Fitness located at 308 South University Blvd., 900 Schillinger Road, and 5363 Hwy. 90 (Theodore), Omni Fitness located at 3930 Airport Blvd. Southern Fitness located at 4725-G Moffett Road, Pump It Up Gym and Shoe Station located 741 Hillcrest Road, Big Time Diner located at 4936 Cottage Hill Road, Bojangles Club located at 260 Azalea Road, Springhill College located at 4000 Dauphin Street, and the YMCA located at 951 Downtowner Blvd.
Through investigation detectives were able to identify and arrest the following individuals in reference to these reported incidents…
Lester Montez Love, DOB: 6/6/1987 (21):
Arrested for three counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle and one count of Attempted Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle.
Jarred Easley, DOB: 12/22/1981 (27):
Arrested for three counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle and one count of Attempted Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle.
Calvin Jacoby Young, DOB: 7/16/1990 (18)
Arrested for three counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana Second Degree.
Michael Lewis, DOB: 1/20/1986 (23):
Arrested for one count of Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle.
Kenyata Richardson, DOB: 9/2/1988 (20)
Arrested for one count of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle.
Dejuan Hudson, DOB: 7/19/1985 (23)
Arrested for one count of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle, Possession of Burglar's Tools, Receiving Stolen Property Second Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
A total of 31 Burglary cases were cleared throughout the city. 1 case was cleared in the First Precinct which occurred at Bel Air Apartments. 12 cases were cleared that occurred in Second Precinct at Omni Fitness Gym located on Airport Blvd. (7), Planet Fitness in Theodore (1), Big Time Diner located on Cottage Hill Road (3), and the YMCA (1) located on Downtowner Blvd. 16 cases were cleared that occurred in the Fourth Precinct at Planet Fitness located on University Blvd. (4), Bojangles Club (1), Southern Fitness located on Moffett Road (1), the Shoe Station and Pump It Up Gym located on Hillcrest Road parking lots (6), Sportsplex Gym located on Hillcrest Road (1), and Springhill College (3). 2 cases were cleared in the in the Fifth Precinct that occurred at Planet Fitness located on Schillinger Road.
