The Mobile Police Department is proud to launch a newly redesigned website. Focused on Delivering On Our Promise to make Mobile the safest city in America with respect for everyone, the website development efforts centered on communicating how the department is doing just that.
Optimized mobile-friendly, the website’s navigation allows visitors to find what they need quickly – from learning what precinct they live in to requesting a presenter through the Speakers Bureau program.
In addition to changed design and layout, new functions have been added. Citizens can now request accident and incident (thefts and burglaries) reports online as well as submit alarm permit registrations and pay false alarm fines. Being able to make these transactions online should serve as a convenience, especially since nearly 90 percent of police headquarters’ visitors come to the Records Unit. The city’s warrant search feature is also now available on the website.
There is a magazine-style format for the latest news and information where visitors can follow stories categorized by BOLOs (Be On the Look Out), investigations, arrests, announcements and community events.
As citizens explore the redesigned website to learn more about the police department’s services, initiatives, and community partnerships, they can learn how they can get involved.
Developing a website that is valuable to the public is important. At any time, they can share their experiences by submitting an experience and feedback form as well as complete the Mobile Police Citizen Satisfaction Survey.
