Report of Rape on Mohawk Unfounded

The report of rape on the 300 block of Mohawk St. has been determined to be unfounded, meaning no crime occurred. The allegation was made on Sept. 17 by a 38-year-old woman who told police an unknown male forced her into her residence and sexually assaulted her.

She had described the subject as unknown, a white male in his early 30s around six feet tall, average build, bald head, and wearing a grey button down shirt. The woman stated he fled in a 4-door black pickup truck.

Through investigation police located the male subject and interviewed him. The woman finally admitted to police that she met the male subject through a dating website and that the sex was consensual.
