RICKARBY STREET HOMICIDE (UPDATE)

On December 11, 2008, at approximately 9:12 P.M. officers responded to the 600 block of Rickarby Street in reference to one shot. Once officers arrived they discovered that the victim, identified as Chad Pettway Land (B/M, 23) was deceased and that another victim had been shot.

The second victim was later transported to USA Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect identified as Fred Deangelo Quinnie (B/M, 19) was involved in the Murder of Land and shooting of the second victim. Police are attempting to locate a possible second suspect involved in this incident.

On Friday, December 12, 2008 suspect Quinnie surrendered himself to authorities. He was arrested and charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, and Robbery First Degree.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing.
