Mobile police will conduct safety checkpoints at two locations Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The checkpoints will be in the Dickens Ferry and Old Shell Road area and MLK and Broad Street area.
Checkpoints are conducted in an effort to promote public safety, and to ensure that drivers are complying with state and local traffic laws.
Citizens should be prepared to present their driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a current vehicle tag registration to police officers. Police will also check for use of seatbelts and children that are not properly restrained in child safety seats.
