The Mobile County Street Enforcement Narcotics Team (MCSENT) conducted a sting operation yesterday Dec. 6 in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Rangeline Road, which led to the arrest of a known drug trafficking suspect.
The operation is part of a long-term investigation into the trafficking of various illegal drugs into the Mobile area from out of state.
MCSENT interdicted the delivery of a shipment of cocaine to a local drug dealer. As a result, 37-year-old Terrence Mcclendon from Moss Point, MS was apprehended and charged with trafficking cocaine.
The officers seized a kilo of cocaine and a GMC Yukon. The seized drugs have a final street value of approximately $100,000.
