On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 10:58 a.m., officers responded to 1200 Somerby Drive (Stone Ridge Apartments) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male deceased from a gunshot wound inside of an apartment unit. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the deceased male forced his way into the unit to confront a known individual when a second individual inside of the unit shot him. The deceased has been identified as Jermaine Thomas, 25. At this time, officers continue to search for the subject.
