On Saturday, July 22, 2017 at approximately 3:49 p.m., officers were in the area of South Ann St and heard several shots fired. Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Ann Street and observed a male and female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was pronounced deceased on the scene and the female victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries. Officers were able to detain Marion Atwood, 20. Atwood was later arrested and charged with Murder, Assault 2nd Degree and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling.
