Undercover Work in Operation Summer H.E.A.T. Arrests 12

After three months of undercover work using a comprehensive strategy to stop violent crime in Operation Summer H.E.A.T. (Heightened Enforcement and Apprehension Tactics), the Mobile Police arrested 12 suspects. At approximately 11:45 p.m. September 15, police concluded a narcotic investigation at Village Green Apartments, 651 Azalea Rd.
The undercover operation was to combat drug sales. After police identified 11 known subjects for selling illegal drugs, seven search warrants were executed in the apartment complex. As a result of the search warrants, police made the 12 arrests, consisting of 29 felonies, nine misdemeanors and two guns.
The following subjects were arrested:

• 30-year-old Christopher Fleming
• 35-year-old Melvin Calhoun
• 27-year-old Christopher Hardy
• 33-year-old Christopher Gant
• 27-year-old Daisy Drinkard
• 25-year-old Lakeddrick Williams
• 22-year-old Anthony Rodgers
• 31-year-old Brannon Bennett
• 25-year-old Henry Dailey
• 30-year-old George Hardy
• 19-year-old Jadrain Hardy
With the focused police operations of Narcotics, Tactical Intelligence, SWAT, Patrol, Mobile County Street Enforcement Narcotics Team (MCSENT), and Juvenile units, these arrests were made.
Operation Summer H.E.A.T. began early summer after there were six shooting incidents within 30 days in the Village Green area.
Mobile Police encourages citizens to call 911 and the non-emergency police phone number (208-7211) to report crime in their areas. Hotspot policing will continue in Mobile and citizens can help identify residential problem areas.
