UPDATE: Mobile Police Make Eagle Drive Homicide Arrest

On April 14, 2015, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of one shot in the 2000 block of Eagle Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. Mobile Fire Rescue transported the victim to Springhill Medical Center where he died as a result of his injury.

The victim has been identified as 38 year-old Marlo Derks.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Homicide Detectives interviewed 20 year old Irie Pickett. Following the interview Pickett was arrested and charged with Manslaughter.
